I wanna compare three CPU's on the basis of performance. These are:
1.Core 2 Duo E7300 aka Wolfdale
2.AMD Phenom II X2 550 aka Callisto
3.AMD Athlon II X2 245 aka Regor
Q1.Which one of these performs the best on stock speeds?
Q2.Which one performs the best at overclocked speeds?
Q3.I have the wolfdale . How does it compares to the rest two?
2- If the AMD has the multiplier unlocked...sometimes is better on overclok
3- I never use INTEL, but in price/performance is better AMD.

They're all very close, but in performance for stock I'd say it goes Phenom II, E7300, Athlon II.... overclocked, I dunno. E7300 might overtake the Phenom II.
3. e7300 would trail the 550BE. I've done testing with AthlonII 250 and E7300, it is a toss up. E7300 better at synthetics and benchmarks, while the AthlonII little better in some games.
Well I already have an E7300.
I was comparing cuz I wasn't getting answers to my ques thro benchmarks.
I mostly game, surf, listen to music and convert movies on my pc.
BTW Why is AMD still releasing dual cores?
It's called they need to fill the budget and energy efficient sectors of the market. A dual core is cheaper to manufacture than a quad and consumes less power, there for it can be sold for less keeping computer prices down for the 90% of people who still go into the store and get a cheap machine that features a dual core.
Intel is still releasing new dual cores as well, they've got the dual core i3 coming out sometime this fall. Both companies are actually still producing single core cpu's for the extreme budget/low power portion of the market.
