Quick question for you guys. I built a PC last christmas, it has run with no problems since then. Today, I go to turn on my PC, and immediately after the gigabyte logo appears, the Q-Flash utility comes up (I've reset the comp a few times to no avail). I can't bypass this, and therefore cannot get windows to load up. Can someone tell me what in the hell could have happened here? Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks.

What motherboard? If it doesn't have a 'dual BIOS', or, somehow the backup BIOS got trashed along with the main BIOS, it's probably the bootblock detecting a corrupt BIOS and offering you the chance to 'recover'...

Remove your keyboard...does it help?

It's a GA-EP45-UD3P..

As to your advice Fatbird, I know what you're getting at and the thought did cross my mind before. I'll try when I get home.

I doubt it's a keyboard issue...

Assuming I do have to update the BIOS, is there a way of doing it to ensure I don't brick my MOBO?

It was the keyboard

I'd already checked the keys which could have caused this, none were down or appeared to be malfunctioning; must have been something inside the keyboard.

Should have just removed the keyboard straight away, thanks for everyone's help.
