CPU buying

Hi mates,

I will buy new CPU for my ASUS M4A78 and I would like to know which CPU should I buy. I will use computer primarily for gaming. I'm choosing between AMD Athlon II X2 250 and AMD Phenom II X4 810. The price (in the store, where I'll buy CPU) of Athlon is 65 € and the price of Phenom is 105 €. I was looking on other stores and everywhere the price of Phenom was more expensive, so I gues, that is worth to buy for that small price. I'll need CPU for new games, that will come this autumn and Q1 of 2010 (COD MW2, NFS Shift, Max Payne 3, Mafia 2 etc.). I won't buy 920 or 940 or some of these, because my budget is limited. So please advise me, which CPU to buy.

Yes, I was thinking about 720 or 730. I was looking for some tests and in games it's better than 810, but what about games, that will come?

i agree with both jim and obsidian..... the 720be is a much better choice than the 250 or 810......

The 720be can achieve 3.6Ghz and as far as gaming is concerned, you can play whatever you want w/o any hicups.....
