Laptop Graphics Drivers

Hey guys, ive always been a desktop man but due to my lifestyle i bought a Laptop (appologies if i should post this there)

My question is do i have to download the specific laptop drivers? or will the usual desktop ones do? i have a nvidia 9600m

I would post a link to the Nvidia laptop drivers page but I need to know what OS you are running.
