I have an asus p6t deluxe motherboard an i7 920 and 6gb of corsair dominator 1600mhz stock at 1600mhz if I put that in my motherboard will it recognize it as 1600mhz if it won't is there any settings I can change for it to recognize the ram at 1600mhz?

The motherboard should recognize this memor as a ddr3 800. You need to manually set the timings of your ram into the bios and then you will be able to go full speed :)
