do ati cards have better image quality than nvidia because it seems like it i am not sure if i should drop nvidia and go to ati :fou:

That used to be the case - now, the only differences are minor, usually to do with AA implementation.

Not anymore. It was that way a while ago, but ever since the 8800 line NVidia has been equal or at times better. Now they are about equal I'd imagine, though I haven't seen an in depth comparison recently.

Since I bought my 8800GTS 512, the quality of the image is as good, or even better than any ATI card I ever owned. I was pleasantly surprised, as I too was a little skeptical of buying another Nvidia card from what I had seen in the past.
Don't base your choice on what you might have heard about image quality, it's simply not true any longer.
