It doesn't matter if its plasma or an lcd...the only difference between an LCD monitor and LCD tv is that the tv has like as add on board that allows rva/hdmi/cable etc there not made different...you will notice some lcd monitors have hdmi as well....iv got 50" plasma that uses a measly 1360x768 resolution BUT with my 9800gtx+ it looks GREAT....crystal clear and no better/worse than my 22" sitting right next to it 
You really should go big or go home if you know what i mean....once you get in the 50+" range its just damn nice....60+" though is kind of ridiculous....
