After spending 6-8 months trying to make a "Acronis" and "Ghost" Disk Copy ( a Bootable Miirror) of a 200G Samsung SATA now running in an HP Pavillion as the sole (C:) Drive...

THERE MUST BE AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE ABOVE BY AN OLD DOS USER

Clone Mirror Image of 200G Samsung HP SATA HDD to:
new (unused) 500G PATA Western Digital (WD5000AAKB)

Using Server's independant IDE Boot Drive currently running 500G (XP Pro)
to Handle the Above copy This would/shoud effectively stop losing files "in use" on the SATA

Server has hardware to drive 4 IDE and 1 SATA Drive(s) 5 Bays Available
Note: I also have a new stand alone pci IDE Controller (reactive I/O Ultra ATA IDE Controller Card if needed)

HELP PLEASE !

P.S. Anyone familiar with "The Geek Squad" at Best buy and IF they can do this for me and What the cost might be...
I took this to my Chinese dude who said $45 to do the above; but also said that he can not always suceed in making a Clone or Mirror and
if it doesn't "work"--I still pay them $45???!!!
