I started putting together my desktop this morning. However, my progress has run into a wall; my ram does not fit into my motherboard.
Before you ask, yes, the notch in the ram lines up with the notch in the board. Perfectly. When you push the ram in, it feels like it goes down the proper distance. The problem is that the clips on the side indicate this is not true. The clips cannot clip down the ram; the slot on the side of the ram is just a bit too high. I tried pushing down with what I considered a liberal amount of force, but it didn't help.
So, what should I do? I was hoping to have this thing running by noon, but it looks like that was quite optimistic :(

No one else with OCZ Platinum 6GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) (NewEgg Customer comments) kits reported any problems installing P6T Deluxe V2 boards.

I figured it out. I did have to apply more force than I thought.
The computer is running on the ASUS OS, now to install Windows 7!
