Let say there are three processors Pentium 4 3.00GHz and Pentium Dual Core 2.6 Ghz and Core2Duo 2.6Ghz

Which is more powerfull if you successfuly overclocking the Pentium 4 3.00Ghz to 6.00Ghz.

Pentium 4 6.00Ghz

VS

Pentium Dual Core

VS

Core2Duo

Some people says Pentium 4 that have been overclocked will have a power as the Core2Duo, just upgrade the heatsink to handle the heat from the overclocked processor.

Another question, what is the bad and the good if we overclocking processor. Will it harm my motherboard, etc?

The newer core is always better for performance, heat/cooling and power consuption. The risk in overclokcing your computer is frying the processor if you can't keep the temperatures down. Yes the Pentium 4 could keep up with the Core2Duo in some cases with only 1 singal core running, but that is using older software and benchmarks. The Core2Duo will out perform both processors by about 10-30% increase of performance due to newer technology. If you want to see if this is true, check what people benchmarks on google for each processor.
