Ok, so hopefully someone can help me with my new build. I have built several systems before, but have not in teh last couple years so I am sure I am missing something.

I have now built the following system, however when powering up, the system does not post (the monitor stays blank). Additionally, the CPU fan does not spin. Given that the CPU fan does not spin i turn the system off immediately and the cpu is still cool, not a hint of warm.

All other pieces seem to be receiving juice as fans are spinning everywhere and teh drives are spinning and dvd opens/closes. Motherboard does have power too.

Ok, here are my parts:

I have everything put together. CPU is seated properly, memory and Video card are inserted properly as well.

Drives are in ok too. The two drives are connected to the two g-sata ports on the mb. After I actually get this thing to post, I want to configure a raid zero array.

After I power on, all fans spin (except CPU fan). The MB also have 6 leds to let you know the load of the CPU. At this point, I get two red, two yellow, and two green. i am guessing this is a default.

The monitor does not show any signs of the machine trying to post or boot.

I have taken everything out and reseated them.

Any ideas? I have not changed anything from "stock" settings.

Thanks,
- Vince

You are really going to have to find some parts to borrow and swap.

I know this may sound like a stupid question but did you connect the 8 pin power on the mobo?

mbs have TWO power connectors as ragsters said . The second is either 4 or 8 pin and usually near the processor
