My new board arrived yesterday, and while unpacking it, I noticed that one of the corners of the board is bent (or warped) slightly. There's no apparent damage to the board, or any of the packaging, so I suspect it was manufactured this way.
My question is: how concerned should I be? I didn't have a change to try to install it and see if it works, and frankly wanted to get some other folks' thoughts before I did so.
I think: it very likely won't hurt anything, and will 'pull down' flat when you tighten the standoff screws; and, as much as I rail against 'useless' RMAs, this one should go back, if for no other reason than for GB's QC guys to figure out what the hell happened there...
Yeah, I'm with you on the useless RMA. I am sure newegg will probably let me exchange it, but, then I'm out shipping costs and have to wait a few more days to do the build.
One thing I didn't capture in the pictures: the screw hole on that corner is just inside the area that starts to flare upwards; so I don't know that screwing it down will really flatten it out (and I don't know if that's good or bad.. I'm curious if those external connectors are going to fit in the case).
