Cheers all!

I'm slowly building a system. I have the evga nForce 750i SLI FTW board. I have one GTX295 and one 9800gt I would like to use.... The 295 for the usual things, and the 9800gt for PhysX. What's giving me pause, and causing me to write here, is this from the manual:

For Single Mode, insert the VGA card into the "PCIE X16_1" VGA slot. The "PCIE X16_2" VGA slot will become inactive.

Here's what I was going to do: the 295 in PCIE X16_1 slot and the 9800gt in PCIE X16_2 slot. Is there any problem in doing this?

Thanks for helping an old man :)

Basically when there is one card in the first PCI-E slot, it gets the full 16x lanes. When a card is in the second slot the chipset splits those lanes into two sets of 8 lanes and each slot gets 8x bandwidth.

really, you could run the physX on the GTX295 without the 9800GT in there at all and it would probably work fine in games that support physX
