hey, my side intake fan is incredibly annoying its a 120 mm, whith a loud hissing sound (from the motor) so im wondering is there a good/ High CFM 120mm or possibly 140mm ( im no 100% sure since my case came pre screwed with holes) that is silent i dont mind the swooshing sound, its the high pitched hissing which annoys me. Also i currently have an AMD 640 and i dont know what a good fan/heatsink to use, i may upgrade to an intel 2500/2600k so i would preferably want one that can be used for the amd and intel socket. i normally shop on newegg or amazon, i just dont know which are good. I have a mid tower case

ok so it seems we narrowed down the best case fan, and as for a good heatsink for my processor so i can push my amd 640 to possibly 4ghz.... btw any suggestions on overclocking it? right now i have it on stock volts /multiplier, at 3.3ghz, ive tried 3.5 but it crashes, my comps screen gets messed up and then i have to restart computer. does that mean i got to boost my volts?

i have a stock amd 640 heatsink/fan ( 80mm fan) so right now i can hit 3.3ghz no problem, anything highe is unstable, and im guessing my fan cant handle increasing the volts. right now oced 3.3 my cpu idles at ~30 C (according to cpuid core temp)

Stock cooler = worst idea

idle temps aren't important, use any stress test program for 12 hours or more and let me know the temps, if those go above 55ºC you have problems.
