Hello,

I'm upgrading my computer's CPU and motherboard, which also requires a RAM upgrade (from DDR2 to DDR3). I've preliminarily settled on this set:

I have a few questions I couldn't find answers for:

  • The motherboard is compatible with the Phenom II X2 socket type (AM3), but only lists X3 and X4 as compatible CPU types. Will the motherboard be compatible with the X2 processor above?
  • Are there any speed bottlenecks between these components that I missed?
  • Will these support both 32-bit Windows XP (ignoring the 3GB memory limit) and 64-bit Windows 7? (The motherboard and CPU are both 64-bit compatible.)

Thank you,
Jesse

1. It will run the CPU just fine.
2. No perceptible bottlenecks I can see.
3. 32 and 64 bit OS's are supported.
