IDE drives Coverted to SATA drives & Jumpers.

Hi. I have just put a new Foxconn Phenom motherboard into my very simple system. It has just one HDD and one DVD, Simples. My question is: which drive goes on MB SATA 1 and which drive goes on MB SATA 2? For the sake of argument both drives are SATA. I would be very grateful indeed for anyone who can help me solve this riddle once and for all.

It should not matter in this case. Make sure your motherboard is in IDE mode and not RAID mode, and you should just plug them in and go.

Thanks for your help guys, one more thing. Should I just take off the jumpers from the two drives and leave them off?

Hi - sorry to hijack this thread but I have a similar problem

Basically I've plugged in an IDE-SATA converter and despite the fact it's supposed to be 'plug and play' I can't get it to work.

Any advice or replies would be much appreciated.
