Hey I'm a little confused with the functionality of the on-board leds. Let me explain the situation...

Hardware

-Enermax MODU82+ 625W
-Intel Core i5 750 (2.66 ghz)
-Patriot Extreme Performance Viper II Sector 5 Series (DDR3 4gb)
-Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 Socket 1156
-ATI Radeon HD 4890 (1GB)
-Western Digital Caviar Black SATA II 7200rpm (1TB)

Software

-Using Gigabytes Energy Saver 2
-Adjusted voltage in BIOs to my RAM voltage (which i believe is 1.65)
-Windows 7 (32bit)

The Issue

In the manual of my board (which could be found here: http://www.giga-byte.ca/Support/Mo [...] ctID=3159) it states the the function of the CPU (GD1 & GD2) and Memory (MD1 & MD2) LEDs. The way i understood it, the GD1 and MD1 are lit when everything is OK, but the GD2 & MD2 are lit when there is overvoltage or overloading occurring (in order to make these LEDs become active one must be using the Energy Saver 2 software). I have not overclocked anything and the system has been built a week ago, and for some reason my MD2 LED is lit (along with GD1 & MD1). I am concerned and curious at the same time beacause everything is default (except my RAM voltage which i increased from 1.5 to 1.65, but i have also tried it running at 1.5) and this LED is always on. I was wondering if someone with the same motherboard is experiencing this situation? Maybe it is a "bug" with the motherboard. I have tried multiple BIOs versions as well and nothing seems to make a difference. I have also tried 1 stick of RAM. The only thing that i have yet tried is purchasing new RAM but i do not understand how this would change the LED output as it is supposed to detect overvoltage or overloading. This is why i would like to know if this is "normal" behaviour for this LED or should i be concerned.

If possible i would like someone with the same mobo to use Energy Saver and see if they have the same outcome, i think that is the only way to figure out the issue here.

P.S. On the topic of LED's, i was just wondering if the 6 phase LED's are supposed to remain lit at all times or if they are supposed to increase and decrease based on CPU performance (at least that was what the motherboard said). Currently mine are always lit, i just would like to know the "normal" behaviour for phase LEDs as well.

Any Help on this would be greatly appreciated, i have only another week before my return policy to the store is up and would like to get replacements ASAP if needed!
