More about first build 2000 dollar budget
  1. I hate when I write a response and it get's lost :p

Your build has a lot of good points, but let me see if I can tweak it a bit. Oh, and your links are broken.

Cooler Master 690 case Less expensive, but a better case over all. will cool everything quite well. Has all needed fans.
Corsair 850W Higher quality PSU at a great price.

The CPU cooler you chose is not too good. Zalmann has been surfing on the success they had years ago, but it's been a while since they made any coolers that could really compete.
The Scythe Mugen is all you need.

If you want to spend a bit more:
Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 120mm That would be pretty much top of the line.

As far as I know the P6T deluxe V2 is a fine board.
  2. hmm. I would get 1 gtx 285 now and another later if needed, the gfx you need are in 1 of those cards.
  3. ^ I wouldn't, I'd get a 4870 X2 and spend the extra money on a 1000w PSU so it can support another one.
  4. thanks for the advice gentleman. sorry about the links, truthfully, i dont know what the hell im doing so i dont know why they do not work.

im goping to look into both those video cards. i am making the purchase june 1st, so i will follow the prices of them both, check reviews and compare benchmarks. i hear excellent things about both of those video cards.

what do you guys think about two gtxz 260's in sli for 350 bucks?
  5. hey proximon, u think that mid tower will fit these big a$$ high end cards?

The CM 690 Proximon linked will without a doubt.
  7. nice...
  8. There really is very little meaning to the designations "mid-tower" and "full tower" any more. Many mid-towers are very roomy, especially those from Cooler Master.
