Will I still benefit from the 6MB L3 cache of an AM2+ CPU if I install it on an AM2 motherboard? BIOS has been updated.

Yes, having only an AM2 should only really affect the HyperTransport.

yes you will benefit, ht bus impact on anything but iops is minimal
