Want two internal laptop hard drives

i want to have two internal hard drives for my laptop, ive got space for a second hard drive but was wondering how i go about putting it in,ive brought the second hard drive, fitted it but even though the computer sees it ( it came up with a installing drivers thing) i cant get onto it,i dont know if ive got to update the bios or something

go to device manager and see if its detected there...you may have to assign a drive letter to it

what OS?

Basically with Windows, go to disk management (right click on my computer, manage, then disk management). You should see the unformatted drive there, create a partition (simple disk) and then format it. If you google you can find lots of step by steps on this.
