My GPRS steals all traffic!!!!

Hello,

I'm using a cable or a wireless connection to surf the net.
I'm also using a wireless broadband usb modem (using GPRS). After I plug-in the GPRS modem for some reason he gets to handle all the traffic. I have a 20mb DSL line but I have to surf using the GPRS modem!!!
why does the usb modem steal all the traffic?? how do I change the default (prefered) network device??? I'm using winxp sp2 and vista 32.
