Hey everyone.
I have a gateway C-141XL. It has Intel Dual Core T8300 which has a 800 Mhz FSB. As of right now it has 3 GB of 667mhz memory. However it can take up to 4GB of 800mhz memory. From newegg to upgrade the memory it would cost 100$. Im curious if there will be enough performance difference to upgrade to an extra gig along with the faster memory? Im running Win 7 Professional 64 bit on my laptop.

There will be no performance increase unless you use programs that require lot of RAM.

Open Task Manager and see how much RAM your Laptop uses...

3GB is even enough for gaming.

The performance you will get compared to what you will pay is not worth it. Specially at 100$.

As far as I know a single stick (1GB) will cost around 20.00$ and a single (2GB) stick will cost around 45.00$
