I've got a really annoying problem. My system initially recognised 3.8GB out of 4GB i had installed, and this was because I'm running Vista. That was fine.
I've now enabled hybrid SLI and the reading went down to 3.2GB
Today I put in a creative x-fi titanium pro sound card, and my RAM reading has gone down to 2.8GB out of 4 which is absolutely ridiculous.
This is all in DXdiag and system info by the way. am I losing any actual RAM performance or is teh system showing incorrect readings?
its not because of vista, its because you have a 32bit version
google this problem, and you will find many people with the same problem, only way to fix it is to use a 54bit or PAE enabled OS (64bit is much more common)
Yes I know the problem with 32bit sytems but what I want to know is if my comp is now using 2.8GB of RAM out of the 4GB or if it's just distributed differently but the performance won't be affected?
