Looking to build a cheap box for number crunching with a multicore app. This is what I was thinking:

AMD 940
Gigabyte Mobo
4G DDR2 800
ATI 4350
WD 320G
DVD Burner
Corsair 400w

what is your budget?

To best utilize that cpu, you should get a board that supports DDR3 RAM. Since that board doesn't support it, it lacks the future upgradability.

That's a pretty low end video card, I trust this isn't for gaming.?

This mb has onboard gfx

normally that would suck but AMD'd 790g series chipsets are powerful enough to play crysis at low resolutions so they will be enough for any no gaming build .
Saves you buying a graphics card , and a few dollars

This ram

Good recommendations by Outlander. Theres really no point in getting a 4350 when you could get onboard for free. I mean if your going to play games, really get a 4670 at minimum.
Check the Newegg 940/mobo combo's, you will save yourself $30-50 bucks that way.
