PCI SLOTS NOT WORKING

computer will not read any pci device when plugged into any pci slot on MB.Tried to plug in same devices(sound card, internet card)in another computer and both work fine. Are my pci slots no good? pci-e and usb are OK but no working PCI slots on elitegroup KN1-SLI motherboard, please help!

If they are legacy devices (cards which requires drivers) check bios options for legacy devices and install software which came with cards.

I have checked the bios to make sure the pci slots were on. tested cards on two other systems, both picked up the cards immediately after boot. Also I can not get the on board audio to work and its also turned on in the bios and I installed the drivers. I even updated the bios and still no dice. I did note that I have PCI 2.3 slots on MB and my pci sound card is 5 yrs. old can that be an issue?
