Presario R3000

Hi, everyone. i have a Presario R3000. When my computer turns on i here this clicking...sounds like coming from speakers. I see the Compaq logo and then it all shuts down. Sometime it goes to the setup screen where it starts to boot then shuts right off.... no error message. i took it to get repaired and the guy said he didnt know what was wrong. replaced the adapter and fixed the adapter prong in the back of computer. i just want to know if its a problem that can be fixed or if its worth fixing. please help! thank you...

It's most likely a motherboard failure. What kind of computer repair technician is that anyway? You're better just getting a new computer.
