Gigabyte MoBo and video card

I have a GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard and a 11x4 955 Black Edition AMD Phenom
Black Edition 3.2Ghz. Socket AM3 125w CPU.

I am installing a Sapphire 100279. Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Video Card. Does anyone know if this card will cover any SATA ports???

Also will a Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120mm Core-ContactFreezer CPU Cooler Hit the first or any memory Banks??

I know the Cooler will fit in case and the video card has room in case.

Ifg it does , Could you please suggest another Mother Board. I really want to use this one. I have not heard or read any problems with video card and memory bank.

It has been almost 5 years since I built a Machine.Been using laptops and an old Machine I built years ago.

P.S. I want a board that supports AM3 and 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel memory.

I apologize for so many questions!!!! If the card covers sata ports,maybe there is a card that is shorter??? I have on board HDMI,but would like a good video card for games and T.V.

The Sapphire looks like it will cover one sata port.

This link shows a number of 4870s that will likely not cover any:

Look at the picture galleries. Many have just the pcb board by the time they reach the end of the mobo.

As for the memory, you'll likely be fine as long as you use memory without large heat sinks.

Why use triple channel? would be better with 2 or 4 sticks as it's a Phenom
