Hi,
I recently bought the Asus Maximus III Gene with the Core I7-860 and 4 gig of Kingston memory. During startup the bios count just display 4088MB out of 4096MB internal memory, however the internal bios memory test states 4096Mb and is tested correctly during 3 testloops. I had the same issue with OCZ memory before. Could it be possible that internal components reduces the memory during the coun-t or has anyone experience with this?
I applied the manufacturers memory settings (voltage / timings) in the bios , tried Memperfect and flashed the newest beta bios what promised better memory compatibility but still got the same issue. Also moved the memory modules and installed them in the correct way. Has anyone experience with this?
Help will be very appreciated,
Thanks
Michel
