My dad's computer is running XP, and in generally the system is pretty weak.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X
When you turn off the computer by the "Turn Off" button in the XP, it does shutdown, but only the system. The computer itself doesn't get shut-downed, and comes up with the message, "the system is now off, you can safely turn your computer off" (more or less, can't remember the exact phrase).
It's not a problem but it is not comfortable, any advise?
I assumed your dads system has an old AT power supply, in which case the front power-on button would be connected directly to the psu and there is no way to shut it down by software, only by pressing the button.
