I bought a new harddrive and began installing all the software from scratch; OS > Programs > Drivers etc. Everything worked fine until I installed the driver for my vidio card (NVIDIA FX 5700 le). When I adjusted the resolution to fit the screen (1024 X 768) the screen became very unstable. It began to shake the move and eventually contort. I tried mess with the resolution some more and now the monitor doesn't display anything. There was an option to adjust the framerate as well as the resolution and I think I lowered it to a value I can't remember.

Usually I can just tinker around with something until I fix it but this problem causes me to not be able to see what's going on. Any help would be great.

Go in safe mode and uninstall the driver, if you can see the posting of the computer.

Try a different monitor.
Try a differnt video card.
