This poll is to see how many people have a regular case or one with lights and windows and all that other stuff. Also, how many case fans do you have? Give details!
Can You See Your Guts?
(DIY = Do It Yourself)
uber l337 metal heavy case with soundproofing material up the wazoo that I installed, too bad I don't use the side panels- instead they're against the wall and vibrate when my subwoofer is loud.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening.
Mine is a Regular Case, and this is what I voted for.
My full tower case is behind my desk in an alcove. It is on a metal briefcase on the floor, with a dust-mask filter allowing free-flowing air to get in the case, and blocking the dust! This is a recent addition attatched with masking-tape, so I don't mark the case and I can quickly replace/clean the filter when I need to!
I don't give a [~peep~] what my case looks like - as long as it functions as it was built, and I can make any necessary mods (such as my fan grills being dremelled out, which I also did recently). I'm not an "arty-farty" person, I'm more interested in the upkeep and performance of my PC!
I guess THG is a drug in it's own way, and potentially harmfull!
I like the window and lights that came with the case. I didn't order it because of the window/lights, but as an afterthough, I think it'll be good to be able to check to make sure the fans are still spinning at a glance. I've already trashed a Video Card cuz it's fan stopped. (Old PC)
Regular Antec SX635 minitower but I changed the powersupply to an Antec TruePower 480W. So I guess that makes the case SX648!
I have two intake fans and one exhaust fan.
I'm definitely not into the geeky window and light $hit.
I think case windows and case lights and fans with lights are stupid!
I built my case from a lot of free parts that I had laying around. At first glance it looks like an ordinary case, but if I say "transform!" it turns into a little maid that cleans my apartment up.
It's great. It even makes that cool transforming sound like the cartoon did.
I have a Lian-Li PC-6089A case and I love it... side window, lights, and I love the light in the fan on the GA-8INXP mobo... matches perfectly with the other lights. Plus the comp runs relatively cool... which is a big plus.
If you design software that is fool-proof, only a fool will want to use it.
Codegen VeryBigTower with lots of DIY:
1. Second PSU hole.
2. Painted dark blue.
3. 4 new fanholes.
5. LEDs on the front when it is dark and I'm searching for my CDROM eject button.
6. LEDs on the front that show which fans are working.
7. Mobo back cooling hole.
8. Rheostat in front to control radiator fan.
9. Wheels under the case to make it move-able.
Damn that thing is heavy though... I hereby call it Heavy Blue.
My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole
I have a Kingwin aluminum case (really nice) with no windows...I like my computer to not have any lights because I sleep near it.

Chieftec Antec Sx1080 kind of case, black and steel, regular little window with red and blue cold cathode lights. Eaugh, too loud though, even with low rpm Coolermaster 80mm fans.
Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...
Chieftec server case without the window. I can't be bothered to make the inside look good. As long as all the cabling is semi-neat and doesn't hamper airflow, I'm happy.

Actually have two I'm focusing on now. Ones a Cheiftec that I'm slowly modding when I have money and time. The other is a Servercase 2U rackmount that I just picked up for road use. So far I've done a slight mod to fit a removable drive rack in one of the bays. I'm sure I'll do a little more, but who's really going to notice alot when it's in a rack case on stage?
I would have to say mine is a non regular regular case LOL
Its not DIY or filled with ricelights and windows and such.
But it its big. And black. Anodised black inside and out. With holes for up to 6 casefans, though i only have 3 installed for noise reasons and the 3 are more than sufficient for excellent cooling.
Case is an Atlas SB-201. Also sold under the name Kingwin, Dynatron, Atlas and the parent company Superflower.
Maxtop brand Midtower with these fans:
-2 rear 80mm
-1 intake 80mm, with little air holes in bezel
-1 side-door fan 92mm
-1 top mounted or "blowhole" fan a 1/2 inch away from the PS, 92mm also
Not the most attractive case but I can't wait to see how well it cools!
Was thinking about a window case, but when can I show it off other than LANS? And for them, I have an older mini-tower to bring anyway, not gonna lug this mutha. I mean windows, lights, etc. are cool but this PC will just be sitting on the ground in a corner, no point.
But maybe I'll construct a spoiler for the case......
