While I do have DSL, I've been thinking of getting a modem that has voice mial capabilities so that I can use my computer an an answering machine. The only problem is that it's just about as expensive as getting an answering machine itself. The only benifit to having a modem is that I've seen programs that can attach the wav file to an e-mail and send the e-mail out so that you can get it at work. yadda yadda yadda. 2 questions
1. what would be the better modem to get zoom, ModemBlaster(creative), or actiontec or is there a better one to use than these three? Seems that 3com/usrobotics doesn't carry one.
2. What would be the best software to use the stuff that comes with it, or are there better ones the QuickLink?
