Recently after downloading updates My auto Disconnect
fails to work. Is there a fix even with the Disconnect is
chosen.

Also one on my e-mail accounts using OE keeps popping up
messenger when it is checked not to bring up messenger.
How do I fix these problems?

Any assistance will me appreciated

Try this: "No Disconnect Prompt When Quitting Internet Explorer"

Start the Messenger and in Tools > Options disable "Run this program
when Windows starts" and "Allow this program to run in the
background". Close the Messenger.
Run REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Insert a new
DWORD entry
Hide Messenger
here and set it to a value of
2
