Quick NV drivers question

Since its been a long while since I have used a NV card just a quick question regarding the drivers. Are the drivers the same when it comes to different model cards in the same series. Example: If I use say driver 185.45 (I'm just making up a driver number here) for the 9600 GT is it essentially the same driver for/can I use the same downloaded driver for the 9800GTX+? Thanks.
