So it's pretty common knowledge that, for it's price point, two 4770s offers some awesome performance.

Just out of curiosity though, does anyone know if three 4770's (roughly $330) offers just as much performance for the price, or at that point would a $330 singe-card solution give better performance?

it might be able to match a HD4870X2 and a bit, but gernaly tri SLI and crossfire (tri) don't scale to well so no point in it at this point in time
