i havent noticed this problem while i was using XP pro
i have Vista (64) now
and its a on mobo(Biostar TA770 A2+ SE) realtek sound
this problem is driving me nuts , id appreciate any helps/tips .
First fix for any hardware issue is to get the latest drive. I can tell you realtek has drivers on their website for audio/network that are updated constantly.

I know this sounds standard but make sure you have the latest video card drives and chipset drivers for your motherboard. run dxdiag and see if acceleration is on.
i cant find that the acceleration slider in dxdiag but there are Sound 1 , Sound 2 tabs.
here is a bit of DxDiag i know its gonna be useless but here it is(wall off text incoming,i know i hate them too):

and yes up to date video drivers, as of chipset drivers,i went to manufacturers website and found none for Vista 64bit but i installed the default ones from retail CD.
I played this trailer and it makes this sound on my machine too and I can tell you for a fact that it has never happened before, so maybe its the actual video thats messed up, not your hardware? Im using XP pro btw.
Its definately a possibility, i have few youtube videos in my playlists that get stuck at certain time and you have to push em forward past that point.
No idea mate, I have ati card in my main machine, laptop has nVidia and that POS at work has intels integrated. Perhaps you want to cut a piece of that video and send it to me to check on my machine?
