I know this sounds standard but make sure you have the latest video card drives and chipset drivers for your motherboard. run dxdiag and see if acceleration is on.

i cant find that the acceleration slider in dxdiag but there are Sound 1 , Sound 2 tabs.

here is a bit of DxDiag i know its gonna be useless but here it is(wall off text incoming,i know i hate them too):

I played this trailer and it makes this sound on my machine too and I can tell you for a fact that it has never happened before, so maybe its the actual video thats messed up, not your hardware? Im using XP pro btw.

How foolish of me not to even try the videos, on both I do get an occasional pop and crack. Maybe it is the videos?

Its definately a possibility, i have few youtube videos in my playlists that get stuck at certain time and you have to push em forward past that point.

that sounds more like connect loss with youtube server to me,and the bufferbar just jumps to the end.

so you have to slide it to resend the info , happend to me while opened more windows to load the vids.

Ok.

i just copied a movie that cracked at some parts to my laptop to see, and guess what?

the crackling didnt occur even once.

i use xp on my laptop (just sayin') (same codec packs,it does have onboard realtek too)

im leaning towards bad bios settings can that be possible? if so what should i look for?

if anyone have a slightest clue/idea/opinion please drop by and reply.

thanks!

thanks for your effort mate!

we are definitely moving onwards.

so its almost clear that that video the first one is badly uploaded.

i ask a question what we share in common graphic card brand/ on board audio.

1.anyway i reinstalled the os and it occurs only for video files that have mpeg 3 (mp3) audio.

2i copied thos to my laptop which have also realtek but not ATi but some integrated intel.

can this be ATi related?

3.my third opinion that this might be bios related (too bad i dont know what half of the settings do)
