i have an asrock xtreme board that supports 6/gbs i run win 7 os i upgraded or so i thought to a 6/gbs from a 3/gbs HD thinking it would be faster.well from what i see it not any different , also win 7 performance index give the 6/gbs the same score of 5.9 as my 3/gbs all of my other ratings are 7.5 or higher & i thought the new HD would be better well it seems its not.Dont know if this helps but thought i'd put it out there.
  2. p.s.
btw the 3/gbs HD was 16mb buffer & the 6/gbs HD is 64mb buffer but i dont see any difference.

  3. SATA3 (6gb/s) is best utilized by SSD's and high performance RAID arrays.

well thank you for your response kinda odd that a 64 cache wouldnt bump up the score even a little eh
