Computer Working Slow
Last response: in Windows XP
Hello,
I just purchase a new SATA HDD 500GB.
Motherboard is- MSI N1996, 865G/GVM-v,MS-7101 Ver 2.B.
RAM 1 GB.
OS : Windows XP SP2.
I just install new SATA HDD & OS then also PC working very slow.
it takes long time to install any application or software
please tell me the solution.

Did you install SATA drivers from the MSI motherboard manufacturers ? Download the SP3 pack and install that, it maybe an issue fixed in it. Let me know how it's going.i installed SP3 but its remain same .
& i do not get SATA Driver for my motherboard . its not available on the MSI site.
Need to get all of the drivers for the system after a new operating system setup.
Is this a vendor made PC or a home-built one? If a vendor, go to their support page and download the drivers for your model.
If it's a parts PC you build, head over to the various component maker sites and get the drivers from there. You need Chipset, audio, video drivers at the least.
