After oc system sometimes wont boot

Hey
I just oc my cpu from 2.4 to 2.65, it was stock at 2.1. Its a phenom x3e.
Some times when i try to boot the system, it just hands and my monitor is blank, usually works fine the second time. I didnt have this at 2.4. Ive been running prim95 for 2 hours now and seems fine so far, is the oc unstable or is it fine?
I made the voltage 1.3. Strange thing is that cpuz says vcore is 1.216. In the bios i set vcore to 1.2 the max than i set over volt to .1, so i would think it would be running at 1.3 right?

Update the BIOS to see if that fixes the boot problems, as it is definitely the overclock but could be caused by BIOS problems (as it seems to possibly be stable). Try running LinX as it stresses the CPU significantly more than Prime95 to see if it is stable. If you don't like to do that, then run Prime95 for more like at least >4 hours, some would say >8.

Bump you volts to you cpu and see if that fixes the problem.

I think you need control your temp, because use stock cooling for overclocking, in bios must disabled smart fan, c1e, cool n quite , I know you just do little oc.
- Test your oc use intelburntest set max ram loop 20 maybe just 15minutes you get result.
- always keep eyes for temperature in hw monitor when full load must below 70C.

k thanks for the info, i don't have a stock cooling, i have coolermaster hyper 212 under load temp is like 40-44C

Its more than likely the voltages need to be upped just a smidge.....like christop suggested
