comparison--HP ZD7000 vs Sony 390Z 16"

These two are comparably equipped, but I'm wondering how they run
side-by-side. I used to own the ZD7000 and liked it pretty much, but the
Sony screen is significantly better, and actually seems larger because it's
the old style shape and not that horizontal shape that is stylish, but not
so productive. I can't figure out which Sony DVD+/-RW is in the Sony (is it
4x?), but I remember the DVD+RW int he HP as being very good (much better,
for example, than the one in the comparable Toshiba).

Has anyone either done or seen a face off between these two? I'd really
like to know what the areas of superiority are for each.
