I have an 1.0TB SATA HITACHI Hard Disk. It is detected as Dynamic Simple Storage on my WINDOWS XPSP3 OS. Now when I share a folder on it, it does, but other hosts don't have any permission to use that shared folder. what's the problem ? Is it related to my storage ? How can I fix it ?

Do you have a firewall? Check the settings and make sure the other computers on the network are allowed....found norton particularly painfull for this!
Did you set up file and printer sharing? Start - connect to - show all connections - create a new connection - next - set up home or small office - next - finish - next - next - use existing shared connection - next - name & description - next - workgroup name (set this the same for each computer) - next - turn on file and printer sharing - next - next - just finish - next - finish....you need to do that on all the computers.
