Win7 stopping overclocking e2180 cpu

Hello, Ive had my e2180 overclocked to 3ghz for a long time it does not work any more only works at stock 2ghz. In unbuntu 10.10 it works fine. Is there any thing in win7 which is stopping the overclock

Pretty sure no. Overclocking is generally tied to the BIOS, not the OS.
