Which fan to use?

Hi guys, I really need help with which fan to buy? What I have right now is just a stock fan of an AM3 phenom II X6 1090T processor. It goes with my ASUS crosshair formula IV mobo. The stock fan is getting really noisy and my core temp elevates up when playing games such as battlefield etc. I am in the verge of buying Corsair h50 or h70, or Zalman 9900, but I really need the majorities opinion first. Maybe you could start with the things I need to consider as well. Please enlighten me on some things I might want to consider getting. Thanks

What is your budget? What case do you have?. If you want something good, the Titan Fenrir is a good options for a good price but like I see you want something high end, so, Thermalright Silver Arrow or Noctua NH-D14 are the best one.

my current case is Aopen Nagas G6 [http://global.aopen.com/products_detail.aspx?Auno=3027]. Budget wise, not more than a $100. Do you think that thermalright silver arrow or noctua nh-d14 would fit in my case? I'm a newbie with these things.

Case: 476.1mm(H)x 190.1mm(W) x 497.2mm(D)
NH-D14: 160.0mm (H) x 140.0mm (W) x 158.0mm (D)
Silver Arrow: 160.0mm (H) x 123.0mm (W) x 147.0mm (D)

Both cooler fit in your case.

Last thing bro. So I finally decided on the nh d14. I read though in a couple of reviews that it occupies the first slot of RAM. I currently have a corsair CMX4GX3 4gb occupying a single slot. Will these work. Thanks. Ill be gettin one soon.

i would just like to disagree with the nh d14
the thermalright archon is probably the best cooler out there right now
i can't find a direct comparison on google but i do know the archon outperforms the venemous x and the silver arrow

The mobo that you want is listed as supported mobo and without limitation about RAM or coolers.

The Archon is very good, but not perform the same as NH-D14 and Silver Arrow.

Tnx so much saint. Just installed the noctua NH d14 on my mobo, fits just right in.. allows around 2mm of space from the fan to the memory slots..
