My bios has disabled my hard drive and my cd rom drive

hiya my laptop was off for a while because lost charger when i finaly found it and plugged it in it was asking my to use a boot device i tried my hard drive, cd rom and internet none of it worked so i went into the bios it was telling my that it was all disabled and i cant find anything to enable them. Help me!!

  1. In your BIOS, can you go to "boot settings" and then select your boot device order?
  2. Or try setting your BIOS to default settings.

    yeah ive tried the default thing didnt work, i can select the boot device order but it wont boot from anything because its all disabled

    The only option I can think that could do that is if you've messed up the "SATA type" settings or if you're using IDE drives and you've disabled the IDE controller.

    Try clearing CMOS with your motherboard jumper. If you don't know what I mean google it or look in your manual for where your CMOS jumper is.
