Hello,
I recently bought a laptop with windows 7 installed, from a large high street retailer. I hate windows 7 with avengance as it is deathly slow, freezes the pointer all the time, does not respond to any recomended fixes etc etc (and the retailer has been of no help despite 3 visits to the store). I do not have a windows xp disc and the retailer refuses to change the O/S for me, claiming that XP is no longer available. Can I download XP or an XP conversion without having to pay Again? & if so where from plz?

the short answers are No and NO

you will need a full copy of XP, reformat the drive, and install XP. Also you will need to find all the drivers for XP especially the chipset drivers before you start installing XP.

As the vender said Microsoft no longer sells XP.
