Hello.

After asking questions about building PC's and CPU fans I now have another question.

For reference I'm getting:

1.) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1626533&sku=B69-0483

2.) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1076248&sku=P450-6792

3.) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=899135&sku=T925-8010

To clarify, I'm getting 1 and 2 then 3 for extra cooling but something caught my eye.

Number 1 (the bare bones) has a 500W Power supply. While number 2 (video card) says something like Minimum PSU Wattage Requirement 550W.

Should I be concerned? Should I rethink getting a new card. Or more fans?
I thought I had everything figured out but I have no idea about GPU cooling or requirements.

Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

Ahh! I understand the info in the link Rolli59.

Seems like Out of the other AMD bare-bones this has the highest PSU

hmm.. :??: Do I need a better gpu or psu? What would you recommend?

Also I was looking at barebones because my budget is only $450 (maybe$500) for a barebones and video card.

you can get a better system for that price
that system has poor quality components
what is the resolution of your monitor? and what is your priority for pc use (i.e. gaming, CAD etc)
also look if you have a microcenter in your area
I would go with
i3-2100 $125
this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128527 $50
case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 $50 ($40 after MIR)
comes with lot's of fans so u won't need extra
PSU -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341016 $65 ($50 after MIR)
modular design great quality PSU
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 $30
HDDs are expensieve now so if u can salvage one from ur old system or someone else would be great otherwise
http://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-Deskstar-7200RPM-Internal-0F10381/dp/B002Y5XR72/ref=sr_1_14?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1323437952&sr=1-14 $90
dvd drive - $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102871 $65 ($55 after MIR)
total - $495 ($460 after MIR)

Diablotek makes PSU-shaped objects. They should never be connected to computer components if there is any possibility they will be plugged into an AC power source at the same time. Jonnyguru and HardwareSecrets have both reviewed some of their units; fiery deaths were involved. I think Jonnyguru even had some of their test equipment fried by one.

My primary reason for this computer is to get something that can play games like Napoleon:Total War and the like:

OS: Windows Vista/XP/7
Processor: 2.6 GHz Dual Core
CPU Memory: 2 GB RAM (XP), 4 GB RAM (Vista/Windows 7)
Graphics: 512 MB DirectX 9.0c shader model 3 compatible GPU DirectX®: DirectX 9.0c
Hard Drive: 21 GB free space

I'm not a Ultra Mega graphics person but I just wanted something that could play it with any lag.
Good graphics to me are a bonus not a deal breaker.

Do you mean go to properties and see how far the slider can go for the monitor resolution?

So everything you posted is better than the barebones build I posted?

And what kind of DVD drive do you recommend? Does it have to be a certain type or something?

:??: I'm sorry if I come off as rude but It seems like everyone here is telling me something different. I mean I hold everyone here with high regards for technical ability and creativity. But, It's precisely for that reason I'm confused.
(I've had Three questions answered but their now unraveled.)

I am reasonable though. If you put it into terms I can understand.

Geeks tend to be very opinionated.
The Tigerdirect barebones is a bad deal. The parts are all substandard, from the PSU-shaped object to an ancient-chipset mobo that cannot get the best from even slower CPUs like the Athlon II.
Current hard drive prices are bad due to supply issues, but I'll see if I can work up a reasonable build within your budget...
