This started happening after my system went unstable and I had to zap Win 7 off to reinstall it. No matter what I do, I get a BSOD when the installer is uncompressing files. I tried to reboot into Vista 64Bit Ultimate but it was hosed as well. I tried to re-install that but I get the same BSOD. XP Pro just hangs just before the logon screen. The only OS I can get to work sometimes is Vista 32Bit. Here is the error and my system specs.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

** STOP: 0x0000000A (0xFFFFFA00A2A7C70, 0X0000000000000002, 0X0000000000000000, 0XFFFFF8000986595

Here are my complete system specs.

Mobo: MSI 790FX-GD70
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Box Edition
RAM: 8GB Corsair DDR3
Video: XFX Ati Radeon 4870x2 PICE
Sound: Creative labs X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro
Optical Storage, LG Blue Ray DVD-RW
Main Storage: 8x Seagte Barracuda 1.5TB SATA II
PSU: XingWin Mach 1 1000W Modular PSU (Plenty of juice on the rails)
Case:Antec, 1200 Full Tower
Display: LG Flatron 23" widescreen LCD
Input: Logitech Wave cordless Mouse/Kbd. Combo

I should point out that I had all 4 OS' running perfectly before whatever happened, happened. I have tried reinstalling to different physical drives, but nothing seems to help. Any Help appreciated.

sparrownightmare, try the installation with just 1 stick of ram. If it succeeds add the others back in.

I had to install them in pairs, but I took out 4GB and then I was able to install without incident. Oh well, I guess even Corsair gets a bad dimm every once in a while. It must have developed a fault.
