APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Today. 2 1/2 year old machine has been throwing "long-short-short" video error bios beeps for a while and the mobo finally died.
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Multiple instances of World of Warcraft, playing newer games, streaming movies in 1080 to my TV, machine is also used for work and I multi-task heavily.
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: OS, mouse, keyboard, speakers, sound card, monitor
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg
BUDGET: $900-1200
PARTS PREFERENCES: by brand or type: I want a new i7
OVERCLOCKING: Maybe
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: crossfire
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1440x900 for now, but I will be buying a new monitor later
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Not a fan of windows or LED's, like a clean case; prefer case as small as possible as the machine will get moved a lot.
Looking for comments and suggestions on my current selections. I am not hardware savvy (although this is my third build) and only build to get the most for my dollar (spare me hard numbers... I won't understand). I would like this machine to have respectable power for three years.
