I am looking for some type of mobile device that would support playing downloaded movies and run google earth effectively. Preferably something the size of a portable dvd player. Does anyone know a device like this?

I think what you are looking for is a netbook. I don't know how well GoogleEarth will run on those because they only have a 1.33/1.6 GHz Atom processor. Moreover, the minimum requirement of a 1024x768 for GoogleEarth will also limit how small the device can be, but I've seen 8.9" HP netbooks that would meet the requirements and also some Dell Mini 10 (10" display).

Thanks I really just need jpgs of pictures from google earth for maps.
