I'd like to play new games preferably maxed out (or at least very high) on 1680x1050 and decently on 1920x1080. I might have to switch out the graphics card for something better, what do you guys think?

I would put a CPU cooler like the S1283V DK in there, but otherwise it looks very good. That will play every game out on highest settings at 1680x1050, and probably every game at 1080P except for crysis.

It's a pretty nice build. I would probably switch out the OCZ gold for the platinum.

What's your budget? I would probably go xfire 4870s if you can squeeze it in, unless you're saving for the 2nd 4890 already. But you may want a slightly bigger psu if you're planning on multiple gpu's down the road.

Guess I'm bumping this -

I would like the cost to be <$1200 (no monitor). I was thinking maybe I should go for for a 275 and SLI down the road. Any thoughts on what would be better?

You can get the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R Core i7 for $165 AR at ewiz.

A black 750W Silencer at Zipzoomfly for $70 AR.

Thanks for those links. That would bring the total to 1043 before rebates on the NewEgg items.

Anyone have a comment on those parts?

The only complaint I would have is that you can't use over 6gb in triple channel on that motherboard, otherwise very good options. That PSU is a great deal.

Here is the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P for $204.99 AR. Use MEMORIAL20 for an $20 off so it can be $185 AR, I think the code will be valid until the 29th.
